Day 1

Ha Noi arrive (D)

Pick up from the airport and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Dinner included.

Overnight in Ha Noi city.

Day 2

Ha Noi explore (B/L/D)

Hanoi’s history dates back almost a thousand years. It has witnessed numerous incursions from China, seen a host of Vietnamese emperors come and go and at one time it even lost its status as the nation’s capital. The city’s temples, pagodas, and religious practices reflect a strong Chinese influence.

Our guide & car will pick up at hotel and transfer to Ba Dinh square. We will visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum ( close in Monday ) & One Pillar Pagoda, the pagoda was first built in 1049 under the Ly dynasty Its original name was Dien Huu, expressing the wish for longevity for the second Ly King. The pagoda is built in the shape of a lotus blooming on its stem. After that, we will visit The Temple of Literature – Van Mieu  Quoc Tu Giam  is not only a symbol of Confucianism but also an extremely significant cultural and historical vestige of Vietnam and of Hanoi in particular.

12:00: Having lunch at local Restaurant
1:30pm: Followed by a cyclo tour to go around the Old Quarter in one hour (go shopping) & enjoy Water puppet show. The last place of city tour is Hoan Kiem Lake (Restored Sword Lake) with Ngoc Son Temple
17:00: We will come back hotel for check in. You can free for relaxing. Overnight in Ha Noi city.

Notes :

The mausoleum (where the body is kept) is closed on Monday and Friday, in September and October for preservation.

Rules regarding dress and behavior are strictly enforced by guards, legs must be covered (no shorts or miniskirts), long shirt/blouse (cover shoulders). Visitors must be silent, and walk in two lines. Hands must not be in pockets, nor arms crossed. Smoking, photography, and videotaping are also not permitted anywhere inside the mausoleum.

Day 3

Hanoi – Mai Chau (B/L/D)

Departure at 7h00. The drive to Mai Chau takes 4 hours, enjoy the scenery along the way see the interesting churches, pagodas and villages .At noon arrive Thai’s village. Have lunch on the stilt-house . Short walk around the Thai villages (5kms) to take picturesque Mai Chau valley and enjoy the relaxing surroundings of Lac village.

After an afternoon hike across a gorgeous valley passing through paddy fields and minority villages, you’ll retire to Mai Chau for an evening of traditional dance ( Bamboo pole dance ) and wine.

Dinner and sleep on traditional stilt house.

Day 4

Mai Chau – Tam Coc (Ha Long bay on land) (B/L/D)

Hit to Tam Coc – well known as Ha Long Bay on land. Have lunch on arrival. Take a row-boat for seeing a rich nature of the region. Go inside small village roads by bike to see daily activities of people. On the way, we stop for a visit of Thai Vi temple where we hide the wepon of Vietnamese soldiers in the war with Mongol in 13th century.

Dinner and night at hotel.

Day 5

Tam Coc – Ha Long bay (B/L/D)

Tired of touristy places but you would like to admire the beauty of Halong bay, Bai Tu Long bay, join us today on Red Dragon Cruise. Discover the untouched area of the bay. Visit the local fishing villages. You rarely see other crowded tourist groups.

After 3hours and a half, we get to one of the 7 natural wonder of the world .

  •  12.00 Embark at Hon Gai International harbor
  •  13.00 Check-in, enjoy welcome drink & cruise briefing. Have lunch while cruising to magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay, admiring  by the fascinating formations of the Bay
  •  15.00 Enjoy swimming in the crystal water. Explore the well-hidden Thien Canh Son Cave. Short cruise to Hon Co  island where you can enjoy relaxing on white sandy beach, swimming or kayaking.
  •  18.00 Back to junk for relaxing.

Day 6

Ha Long – Ha Noi – Hue (B/L/-)

A new day has come with beautiful sunrise view from your cabin.

  •  7.30 Morning view of Bay’s landscape with cup of tea or coffee. Have breakfast in the fresh air.Then, visit Vung Vieng  fishing village by a rustic row-boat, meet the local people and pass through the floating school and fish farms and more  time for swimming in the middle of the bay.
  •  10.00 Start cruising towards the harbor while an A la carte lunch is served.
  •  11.45 Disembark. Farewell. Back to Hanoi.
  •  15.45 Arrive in Hanoi then transfer to Noi Bai airport take late flight to Hue (Departure: 20.10 arrival: 21.20 )

Day 7

Hue city tour 

Breakfast at hotel and take a boat trip to Linh Mu pagoda, car pick up for visiting Minh Mang mausoleum, have a lunch. Visiting Imperial Citadel, Dong Ba market. Have diner on the boat and then listen Hue traditional folk songs and music on the boat.

Overnight in Hue.

Day 8

Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An (B/L/D)

Am : After your breakfast, at 8.00 am our guide will welcome you at hotel and transfer to Hoi An. On the way you will stopover at Lang Co beach – enjoy the fresh air on nice sandy beach of Lang Co – is recognized as one of the nicest beach of Asia, Hai Van Pass – to enjoy the wonderful panorama from the top of the Pass. With people who love to have an adventure trip, Hai Van pass is a route for taking a motorbike for discovery. On arrival Da Nang, you also stop to visit Cham Museum for having the whole knowledge of Cham people, Marble Mountain is known as five mountains…On arrival Hoi An ancient town, check in your hotel.

At 5.30 pm you will go to a restaurant to join a cooking class. The cook will introduce and teach you how to cook Vietnamese dishes. Have dinner with dishes you cooked. At night you are free to walk around for more exploration.

Day 9

Hoi An – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh (B/L/D)

Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city in Vietnam and is located near the Mekong Delta. Saigon was officially renamed Ho Minh City on May 1st 1975. However, the old Saigon moniker is still very widely used by both Vietnamese and foreigners, especially when referring to the most central part of the city, to which most tourists flock.

At 07:30 AM Our driver will pick you up your hotel and transfer to Da Nang airport take a flight to Ho Chi Minh city.

Pick up at the airport. Take a short visit of Saigon city. We visit Notre-Dame Cathedral, Post central office (French architecture in Saigon)

Enjoy a water puppet show at Golden Dragon at 6:30PM (optional)

Day 10

Cu chi Tunnel and Cao Dai Temple (B/L/D)

There are two tunnels in Cu Chi : Ben Duoc and Ben Dinh. With Diftour,  you will go to Ben Duoc tunnel:

Tour consists of 3 parts :

Firstly is Ben Duoc temple: As historic and cultural works of Ho Chi Minh City, where people commemorate and feel gratitude to the heroes, heroines and war martyrs who scarified themselves to the cause of national liberation.

Secondly is the re-creation of Cu Chi liberated area: The structures re-creating the liberated area of Cu Chi are found in a quarter showing how the people of Cu Chi lived and fought before and during the resistance against the aggressor.

Thirdly is the Tunnel: expierienced the underground life of peasants and guerrillas during the war by through 30m, 50m, or 120m length of tunnel.

Next, we go to CaodaismTemple and have a chance to take part of Caodaist ceremonie at noon.

After lunch, get back to Saigon.

Day 11

Saigon – Ben Tre – Vung Liem (Vinh Long) Home-stay (B/L/D)

Experience living in the Mekong Delta “ rice bowl of Vietnam” and explore it. On this trip, you will be taken to Mekong’s untouched lands and stay at a local house. In addition, you will discover a rich and large delta of Vietnam by bike, boat, row-boat with paddy field/rice field, fruit gardens, and some traditional workshops of the south Vietnam.

Car to Ben Tre – well knonw as Coconut kingdom of Vietnam. Boat trip to see the daily activities of local people along the river such as collecting fruits, catching fish, … We stop for visit a brick factory and discover a coconut candy workshop. Taste a very special product of province – coconut candy. You will also be interested in so many handicrafts made by coconut tree.

Enjoy tropical fruits at a fruit garden. Then, take a rowing boat into small canal shaded by water coconut trees.

14:00 back to boat station and go to Vung Liem village by car. 16:00 after arriving at the village we take a small bike trip (or by walk) to a home-stay and make friend with the family.  Enjoy cooking with familly and dinner.

Day 12

Vung Liem – Can Tho (B/L/D)

In the morning, take a bicycle trip (2,5 hours) around the village, you will see real life of local people, stop at some local houses in order to contact with local people and understand their life. Visit a mat making procedure and a local market.  Back to home-stay for lunch.

2 pm: It’s time to say goodbye to the family and continue our trip to Can Tho city – Biggest city of Mekong Delta. On the way, we stop for visiting an ancient Kh-mer pagoda.

Dinner and night in Can Tho.

Day 13

Can Tho – Saigon (B/L/D)

We visit a floating market by boat in Can Tho city – Cai Rang Floating Market very early in the morning. You will enjoy a very particular traditional life of Mekong delta people – “floating life” by seeing kinds of fruits and vegetables at the market. We also visit a rice noudle workshop before going back to the city.

After lunch, we get back to Saigon by car.

Day 14

Saigon leaving (B)

Free time untill your departure. Car transfers you to airport 3 hours before your flight departure. The tour ends.

–     In case of cancellation before 30 days: 0% cost of tour will be charged except domestic flight tickets. You will be charged 20% of the tickets.

–     In case of cancellation before 15 days: 50% cost of tour will be charged.
